Hi guys,

I am a huge World War II buff and have finally decided to visit Europe to see some of the old battlefields. Have any of you ever been and do you have any advice on places that are interesting to visit? For me, I am Canadian and my Grandfather died in the failed Dieppe invasion of August 19, 1942...so I would like to visit the beaches there in France. I'd also like to see Omaha, Utah and Juno Beach to Caen. I'll work my way up to see Dunkirk and then across to Paris and then to Berlin. One question I'd like to find out though, is whether or not there are still remnants of the Maginot Line in France? I am sure it can't all be dug up since theres so much concrete, but are there tours?

Ok, here's something I am having a really hard time answering. The railcar that was used by the Allies in World War I to sign the Armistice of 1918 used in the Compiegne Forest in France was later used by Hitler in 1940 to humiliate the French and force them to sign their surrender there. I heard that Hitler had the Rail car moved to Berlin as a symbol of their victory but don't know if this is true. In either way, I'd like to find out if this Rail Car still exists and where it would be. Is it in France again? I would be an interesting remnant of the two world wars to see.
