Consider the ramifications of that. Stalin mostly likely would have been killed/captured, this would decapitate the Soviet government. It would give Germany quite a bit of Russia's industrial capacity, and time to resupply its forces on the eastern front for a spring offensive towards the Urals. If the Urals and the manufacturing in this area could be captured or at least disrupted, the war on the eastern front could turn disastrous for the Russians. If the Soviet Union was forced out of the war or reduced to ineffectiveness, what effect would this have on the Allies fighting on the western front?
The war could then only be ended by the US nuking Germany in 1945/46, killing millions of civilians and possibly result in Germany firing a nuclear counter assault at Britain or possibly the US (I heard that they were only 6 monthes to a year away from developing a nuclear weapon in May, 1945). In the end, when the dust finally settled, hundreds of millions of people could end up dying, and leave the world in ruin. Just my thought
